“Torso d’ Adéle”

Rodin's favourite model for a long time was Adéle
Abruzetti, for whom he created an unfading memorial
in the form of this sculpture. Sensitively and with
virtuosity he transposes the sensual eroticism of the
curved female body with a fascinating interplay of light
and shadow to create one of his greatest oeuvres.

Height approx. 48 cm with marble base, produced by the “cire perdue”
technique and with the artist's signature in the casting.
