No one has stimulated modern sculpture as much as Auguste Rodin. Side by side with the great masters of the ancient world and names such as Michelangelo, Cellini and Canova, Rodin is numbered one of the world’s greatest sculptors.

What fascinated him most was the human body. This he represented ever anew with the virtuosic manifoldness of his artistic formal vocabulary with an expressive power never attained again up to the present day and which he explored in all its innumerable facets. Each sculpture is an original bronze cast by the "cire perdue" technique and bears the artist’s signature in the cast.
