ESCHER SCULPTURE
Portrait of a woman

The whole fascination of modern bronze art is contained in this virtuosic transposition into three dimensions of Escher’s famous woodcut.

The bronze represents the head of Escher’s wife Jetta and is certainly the most spectacular portrait of a woman in the field of modern bronze art. The sculpture is an act of homage of the Korean artist Eunwha Kim-Kilian to mark the 100th birthday of the great Dutchman.
