The Venus ring

Homer sang of the gold jewellery of Venus – Venus the goddess of beauty and of love – Venus born in the foam who was raised up from the spray of the see and carried by the waves to the island of Crete.

This legend gave the artist the motif for this Venus ring. Without end – endless as love itself –waves in glistening white gold progress around the ring while between the waves ten white diamonds sparkle like the spray from which Venus was born.

The Greek name of the goddess "Aphrodite" is engraved as deep relief in Homer's lettering on the inside of the ring.
